Megan is excited to continue to teach at Listowel School of Dance. She began studying dance at the age of 2 ½ years and has been dancing ever since. She started competing throughout North America at the age of 5. Her main focus are in jazz, tap and acro, but has also been trained in ballet, lyrical, contemporary, modern, hip-hop, pointe and musical theatre.
Megan has successfully completed her undergrad with a Bachelor of Science and just achieved her Bachelor of Education. She is now certified with the Ontario College of Teachers and is an Occasional teacher with the Waterloo Catholic District School Board. She trained at Dance Adventure KW Inc in Kitchener. Throughout her dance career thus far, she has been able to dance at Walt Disney World twice and has had the opportunity to attend multiple workshops taught by professionals. She constantly keeps herself busy with her schooling, volunteering, working and other extra-curricular activities she is involved in.
She has lived and breathed dance from such a young age and wishes to continue doing so for as long as possible. Dance has helped her overcome many obstacles and is an outlet for her when she needs it. Megan is excited to share her talents and love for dance with the students of Listowel again this year. She also wants to remind every student to “dance to express, not to impress”.
