Caroline - Teacher

Caroline has had a passion for dance for as long as she can remember. She grew up dancing at a studio in Toronto and began her dance teaching journey as a teaching assistant at age 16. Since then, Caroline has taught and choreographed for recreational  and competitive classes, at several dance studios across the country, including studios in Kingston, Calgary and now Kitchener. In addition to her work at dance studios, Caroline was selected to teach dance at Queen’s University, alongside the position she held as team captain of the university’s Performance Dance Team. During her time at the university, her choreography was selected to be performed in numerous showcases. In 2014, she was recognized as the Senior Overall Dancer at her studio and received the Proficiency Excellence in Dance Award the following year. Throughout her years as a dance teacher, Caroline has taught jazz, ballet, tap, acro, hip hop, musical theatre, lyrical and heels classes.

Not only does Caroline have a passion for dance, she also has a passion for working with children. By day, Caroline works as OCT certified elementary school teacher, with a focus in dance, drama and music. She has previously worked with the Gotta Dance Program, travelling to different elementary schools to teach speciality dance classes. Caroline motivates all her students to try their best and encourages them to reach their full potential through positive reinforcement and instilling her own love of dance.
