Nicole Blackwell - Teacher

Nicole joined the Listowel School of Dance on September 20th, 2021. She has been teaching dance since she was 14 years old, with her first job at Tapps Performing Arts in her home studio in Orillia.  Nicole has 18 years of experience dancing, 13 years competitively, in multiple disciplines including acro, contemporary, musical theatre, jazz, ballet, tap, hip hop and lyrical. In 2013, she was part of the Canadian Show Dance team, competing at the IDO World Show Dance championships in Germany. In her university years, she danced both with the competitive dance team at Wilfrid Laurier as well as participating, instructing and choreographing for their recreation dance program. 

While Nicole has more recently worked in a clinical environment, she has come back to teaching dance as it is her true passion. Nicole is a firm believer that if you go after your true passions in life, you will be able to achieve anything.
